Mystical Gurez Escape

Morning:

Start early (around 7 AM) from Srinagar to Gurez via Bandipora.

Enjoy a breakfast stop at Bandipora, known for Wular Lake, one of Asia’s largest freshwater lakes.

Resume the journey, passing through breathtaking Razdan Pass (11,672 ft), where you can stop for stunning views.

Afternoon:

Reach Dawar (the main town of Gurez) by 2-3 PM and check into a guesthouse/hotel.

Have lunch and relax for a while.

Evening:

Explore Dawar village, interact with locals, and experience the unique culture of the Dard-Shina people.

Visit the Kishanganga River banks for a peaceful evening.

Enjoy a traditional Kashmiri dinner at your guesthouse.

Morning:

Have an early breakfast and visit Habba Khatoon Peak, named after the famous Kashmiri poetess.

Explore the Habba Khatoon Spring, known for its crystal-clear waters.

Afternoon:

Head to Tulail Valley (1.5-2 hours drive from Dawar), an untouched paradise with lush meadows, wooden houses, and serene surroundings.

Visit the picturesque villages of Sheikhpora and Angaikot, experiencing the traditional way of life.

Enjoy a packed lunch or dine at a local eatery.

Evening:

Return to Dawar by evening and take a leisurely walk around the valley.

Enjoy bonfire (if available) and stargazing, as Gurez has minimal light pollution.

Morning:

After breakfast, check out and begin your return journey to Srinagar.

Stop at Razdan Pass again for final scenic views and photography.

Visit Wular Lake for a short break and some birdwatching.

Afternoon:

Enjoy lunch in Bandipora or on the way.

Evening:

Reach Srinagar by 4-5 PM and conclude your trip with memories of Gurez’s untouched beauty.
